Trucker Buddy Mobile App powered by uFollowit is a program of Trucker Buddy International, a 501.c.3 non-profit which matches a professional truck driver with an elementary school teacher. Background checks are performed on each driver. You MUST have an activation code to register for this application. Call 1-800-MYBUDDY or email info@truckerbuddy.com to obtain the code. This application gives Trucker Buddies an easy way to communicate with their teachers and classroom while on the road. They can use it to take pictures of items they may want to share with the teacher and the classroom. Those pictures are stored in a secure database so the teacher can extract them as needed to aide in teaching geography, history, math, social studies and of course writing. The teachers then can take pictures of the letters written by the students and then share them more easily with the driver, saving postage and time. The class can see a cookie crumb trail on a map of where the driver is located and where they have been giving the students a visual reference as to their location and reinforces the geography lesson. This relationship between the driver and the teacher and classroom improves the image of the trucking industry while giving students a fun way to learn and excel. PLEASE NOTE: That continued use of the optional background Auto-Status / GPS feature built into this application can dramatically decrease battery life.
